Installing Electric Water Heater Jacket Saves Money

Installing an electric water heater jacket around your electric water heater will save you roughly $30 a year on your electrical bill. The great news, the jacket only costs around $20. That equals savings galore and a no brainer.

According to the Department of Energy installing a jacket saves you 4-9% on your ANNUAL bill. It reduces your standby heat loss by 25-45%. If you have an electric water heater, take the time and spend $20.

A few things to please keep in mind when installing. If you are unsure, take the time to hire someone, still will save you money. If installing yourself, please leave the thermostat access panel(s) UNCOVERED. Do not set the thermostat above 130 degrees as the wiring may over heat. Please read all the instructions.

With all that said, spending 20 dollars to save 30 is a pretty good and sound investment, don't you think?
