It does not matter how tall or short you are, rich or poor, overweight or thin. If you have ever tried to quit smoking that you know it is extremely difficult. By now everyone knows the inherent dangers of smoking. We all know about all the harmful chemicals that are added. Not only do these chemicals damage your body, they are also addictive. We are going to come at the reason to quit smoking for an entirely different reason.
If you quit smoking you will have a lot more personal energy. You will also end up saving a ton of money on your energy bill! Stay with us. Cigarettes have an extreme amount of pollutants. These pollutants have a very bad effect on your air quality. If you are a smoker who smokes indoors, than all of the fans, air conditioner, refrigerator and any other electronics that you have work a lot harder and are less efficient.
The more dirt you have in your house, the more you have to vacuum. The more cleaning you do the more you waste energy. In the winter, the best way not to waste energy when you go inside is to dress for the weather. If you need a cigarette in the winter you will be wasting unnecessary energy when you come back in and have to warm up.
The bottom line is this. Smoking is very bad for you. It is also very bad for you house. This New Year, do yourself a favor and save tons of money doing it. Quit!

I hadn't thought of the energy efficiency of smoking before - great post. Here's another way it occurs to me smokers who quit (and those who live with smokers who quit) could save energy.
In the old days when smoking was allowed in restaurants and bars in Toronto (seems like decades ago but it wasn't that long), if you went out drinking with friends you could come home stinking of smoke. Clothes went straight into the wash even if they weren't actually dirty. I imagine people who live in smoke-filled houses or apartments have to wash their clothes more frequently to get rid of the smoke smell. So when you quit smoking, you can also cut back on the amount of laundry you do, which saves energy!

The World would be working at least 25% more efficiently and we would be living in a much more healthy and clean environment for everyone.
Quit smoking and save money. That is even better. Ultimately the money saved is used to buy something else which uses up energy in some way.
If you saved money on not smoking, but end up buying a TV which makes you watch TV all day, that is not saving energy ;)
