And to swag's point, a lot of poeple do purchase coffee hot on the spot. But with a little preplanning, these same people could make thier coffee in the morning and then use a thermos to take fresh hot coffee with them. Most thermoses even have a built in cup. So instead of saving 97 cups... no cups go to the landfill. Also consider that the coffee filters are usually paper and are biodegradable.
